This article aims to analyse business processes and management practices in connection with business activity and the use of digital technologies. Digitalisation plays a crucial role in how modern management, management systems and processes have evolved over the years. This article presents a new perspective on how the digitalisation of processes will change economic indicators such as profitability, labour efficiency, management costs, and the related management of developing an organisation’s management systems.
The study includes a systematic review of relevant scientific literature, illustrative case studies of digital systems at various business levels, and an assessment of changes in companies using quantitative methods. It aims to deepen the understanding of the role played by the Internet in various sectors of the economy, taking into account the benefits provided by different technologies when used.
It has been shown that the use of digital technologies in practice leads to an increase in business profitability by 30-50% due to an increase in the efficiency of business processes and labour productivity by 30% and a reduction in management costs by 33-40%. The development of new technologies for decision-making systems has one feature - the time for decision-making is reduced by more than 50%, which allows organisations to be more flexible. In addition, the development of a digital way of doing business helps to reduce management levels and bureaucratic red tape, which, among other things, leads to a 20% increase in employee satisfaction.
The research findings show that companies’ ability to use digital technologies is a decisive factor in enhancing their competitiveness, particularly in finance and operational management. However, this technology requires significant human resource development and adaptation expenditures. Organisations are advised to develop a strategic timeframe for promoting new digital solutions in line with existing market and business requirements.
