Abstract

The article examines the tools and types of activities, as well as the international experience of countries in the field of competition advocacy in general. Successful cases of competition advocacy in international and domestic practice are analyzed. Further directions of development of the information and educational activities of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine are determined. The purpose of the article is to study the international experience of countries with regard to competition advocacy and the developments in this area by the national competition authority, and also to identify further directions for introducing competition advocacy into the national practice. To achieve this goal, the author used the methods of classification and typology - to determine the types of competition advocacy; the method of abstraction - to identify the components of competition advocacy; the historical method, methods of analysis and synthesis, methods of statistical, logical and system-structural analysis - to determine the trends in the development of competition advocacy; the method of comparison - by comparing competition advocacy in different countries, it is possible to identify the effectiveness of its action in the national markets of countries; graphic analytical method. The results of the study show that the general directions of development of the competition regulation system in Ukraine are: further active formation of the competitive environment, improvement of competition policy, advocacy of competition, ensuring a competitive culture, and intensification of social partnership. The conclusions show that in the current conditions of development of competitive relations, competition advocacy requires state and public support. It is necessary to use the most effective tools and methods to promote the protection of fair competition, to foster a culture of competition, and to motivate entrepreneurs to compete fairly and transparently.
