Abstract

The relevance of this study is determined by the significant losses in Ukraine's land potential caused by military actions, posing challenges to environmental security, the agricultural sector, and sustainable development.

Purpose: The purpose of the research was to assess the impact of military actions on Ukraine's land resources and to identify priority directions for their recovery, considering environmental, economic, and social aspects to ensure sustainable development.

Methods: The research methods included the analysis of statistical data on land potential losses, a synthesis of the literature on Ukrainian and international experiences in land resource recovery in post-conflict periods, and the development of integrated approaches based on modern technologies, such as geographic information systems (GIS), bioremediation, and digital platforms for land resource management.

Results: The research results demonstrate that military actions in Ukraine have caused unprecedented losses in the land sector, including large-scale mine contamination, destruction of agricultural infrastructure, crop losses, and ecosystem degradation. The main categories of damages include direct losses, a decline in the economic resilience of the agricultural sector, and social challenges associated with population displacement and reduced quality of life. The proposed integrated land resource management system is based on ecologically oriented approaches, including GIS technologies for land condition monitoring, bioremediation for soil cleaning, and financial support for restoring infrastructure and farming enterprises.

Conclusions: The research concludes that the sustainable development of Ukraine's land potential requires a comprehensive approach that integrates environmental, economic, and social aspects. Key components of recovery include land clearance from explosive remnants, modernization of agricultural infrastructure, and the development of a national strategy for sustainable land resource recovery. The integration of international support and the implementation of modern technologies will accelerate recovery processes and strengthen the country's food security.
