Organizational and Economic Management of the Life Cycle Cost of Construction Objects: Problems and Solutions

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to identify and analyze the problems of organizational and economic management of the life cycle cost of construction projects, as well as to develop ways to solve them to improve the efficiency of capital construction in Ukraine.

The research methods include a systematic analysis of scientific literature, a comparative analysis of current practices of life cycle management of construction projects, as well as a SWOT analysis to assess the strengths and weaknesses of different management approaches.

Effective life cycle cost management of construction projects is a key factor in ensuring their economic feasibility, durability and sustainable development. The results of the study indicate key problems that impede the effective management of the life cycle cost of construction projects, including: insufficient integration of modern information technologies (BIM technologies), low level of implementation of sustainable construction principles, limited government regulation mechanisms, and insufficient involvement of the private sector in financing long-term construction projects. A set of measures to improve the situation is proposed, including the development of public-private partnerships, stimulating investment in the digital transformation of the construction industry, improving the regulatory framework, and introducing methods of economic incentives for innovation.

The conclusions emphasize the importance of an integrated approach to life cycle cost management of construction projects, which takes into account technological innovation, cost-effectiveness, and environmental aspects. For further research, an in-depth study of the impact of digital technologies and artificial intelligence on the life cycle cost management of construction projects is recommended, as well as the development of mechanisms for financing sustainable construction in Ukraine.
