The aim of the study is to determine the role of digital platforms in expanding global markets for new economic models, assess their impact on business processes, labor markets, financial operations, and the sharing economy. Digital platforms have become a driving force in the transformation of the economy, creating new opportunities for businesses and consumers. They contribute to the globalization of trade, minimize business costs, and provide access to international markets.
Research methods include analysis of economic trends, comparison of traditional and digital business models, and evaluation of the platforms’ impact on various sectors of the economy. Economic analysis, synthetic generalization, and statistical modeling methods were used to identify key factors determining the effectiveness of digital platforms in the global economy.
The research results indicate a significant reduction in entry barriers for small and medium-sized enterprises due to digital platforms. These platforms are transforming traditional business processes through logistics automation, personalized marketing, and supply chain optimization. Furthermore, platforms such as Amazon, Alibaba, and eBay promote the expansion of opportunities for international trade, while financial services like PayPal and Stripe provide fast and secure transactions. In the field of employment, platforms like Upwork and Fiverr allow specialists to work remotely, promoting workforce mobility. At the same time, the use of big data and artificial intelligence algorithms allows platforms to offer personalized services, increasing customer loyalty.
The study’s conclusions confirm that digital platforms contribute to the transformation of economic models, stimulating the development of the sharing economy, flexible employment, and digital trade. However, there are risks, including market monopolization, data security issues, and regulatory challenges. Optimizing government policy and implementing control mechanisms can promote balanced development of the digital economy.
