Abstract

The impact of business process digitalization on risk reduction in crisis conditions, particularly in the context of the war in Ukraine, has been examined. It has been established that digital technologies contribute to enhancing enterprise resilience, ensuring operational continuity, and minimizing the negative consequences of crises. It has been proven that the use of automated management systems, analytical platforms, artificial intelligence, and blockchain solutions enables enterprises to quickly adapt to changes, reducing uncertainty and ensuring control over financial and operational risks. The key barriers to digital transformation have been identified, including technical limitations, high financial costs, organizational challenges, and regulatory constraints, which hinder the effective implementation of digital solutions in business processes.

The purpose of the study is to analyze digitalization as a factor in risk reduction and to develop recommendations for its effective integration into the business environment. The methods of system analysis, comparative research, and digital process modeling were used. An assessment of the impact of digital technologies on strategic risk management was conducted, and key directions of digital transformation that enhance enterprise competitiveness in crisis conditions were identified.

The study results justify the necessity of a comprehensive approach to digitalization, including strategic planning, personnel training, and the application of adaptive technologies. Recommendations have been developed for the integration of digital platforms, the automation of crisis management, and the implementation of analytical tools for risk forecasting. It has been proven that digital transformation facilitates rapid response to challenges, ensures business model flexibility, and creates prerequisites for sustainable enterprise development. The proposed approaches can be applied across various economic sectors to enhance protection against crises and optimize managerial decision-making.

The prospects for further research include evaluating the effectiveness of specific digital solutions across different industries, developing digitalization models for enterprises in unstable environments, and defining criteria for assessing business digital readiness.
