Abstract

Purpose. The justification of the effective system of compliance management in the sphere of restaurant business on the basis of theoretical and applied research of key aspects related to the problem of using and implementing compliance and the identification of the complex set of instruments for the development of companies in accordance with current regulatory and legislative requirements. Methods. The publication is based on the analysis of existing information sources about the work of Ukrainian enterprises related to the restaurant sphere, scholarly articles, and statistical data. The general theoretical and methodological basis of the study is a dialectical approach, which allowed to explore the object and subject of the study through the lenses of systemic completeness, dynamics, and the interconnection of its structural components. The goal was achieved with the help of the following research methods: the method of analogies; methods of structural-functional analysis and synthesis; methods of theoretical analysis and generalization; methods of description and classification; methods of analytical research, statistical and system analysis, observation; methods of abstraction and concretization. Results. In the article, the peculiarities of forming a compliance management system in the restaurant business as a necessary mechanism for ensuring legislative compliance, ethical standards and corporate responsibility are explored. The article analyzes the importance of compliance management in the context of modern challenges of the restaurant industry, in particular, the need to monitor compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards, regulate the internal policy of enterprises, avoid conflicts of interest and ensure the security of financial transactions. It is noted that the lack of a unified and effective compliance management system in Ukrainian restaurant establishments creates additional risks for doing business associated with the instability of the regulatory environment, changes in legislation and the need for constant adaptation to new requirements. Conclusions. It is found that compliance management contributes to increasing the level of competitiveness of companies through the introduction of transparent control mechanisms and digitalisation of management processes. The study examines current trends in the development of compliance management in the restaurant sector, including the integration of technological solutions for monitoring compliance with regulations, the development of corporate codes of ethics, environmental friendliness of production processes and strengthening of financial control. In particular, the authors emphasise the need to implement a transparent procurement policy, compliance with environmental safety standards and effective management of reputational risks. The importance of implementing an integrated approach to compliance management, including constant monitoring of legislative changes, preliminary risk assessment, management of consumer complaints and formation of a strategy for minimising potential threats was substantiated. It is determined that an effective compliance management system in the restaurant business helps to strengthen the market position of establishments, increase consumer confidence and reduce operational and financial risks.
