Methodological Principles of Assessing the Competitive Stability of Industrial Enterprises in the Context of Innovation Development Strategy

The aim of the study is to develop a scientifically grounded approach to assessing the competitiveness stability of industrial enterprises that allows identifying their strategic advantages in the conditions of a dynamic external environment and serves as a basis for forming innovation development scenarios. Competitiveness stability in this context is considered as the enterprise's ability not only to achieve but also to maintain competitiveness in the long term, which is especially relevant for enterprises with a high level of innovation activity.
Methods: The methodological basis of the research is a systemic approach to assessing economic stability, innovation potential, and strategic adaptability of the enterprise. The study uses methods of structural-functional analysis, normalization of indicators by the maximum value, as well as a multiplicative model of integrated assessment considering blocks of efficiency, financial stability, technological renewal, organizational flexibility, and market dynamics. The information base includes statistical reporting data, specifically form №1-innovation.
Results: The work proposes and tests a methodology for constructing an integrated competitiveness stability index, which provides an objective assessment of the enterprise's internal reserves and establishes the relationship between its competitiveness stability and innovation activity. The proposed approach allows identifying weak points in enterprise management, conducting inter-sectoral comparisons, and developing strategically-oriented development scenarios adapted to the conditions of a turbulent market environment.
Conclusions: The developed methodology is a universal tool for strategic analysis that can be used in the practice of controlling industrial enterprises. It allows not only to assess the current competitiveness but also to forecast the dynamics of its changes under the influence of innovations, providing a foundation for effective management of enterprise development in the face of transformational challenges.
