Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyze the socio-economic aspects of globalization and sustainable development as key determinants of civilizational progress in the 21st century. The author aims to demonstrate how the interaction of globalization processes and sustainable development principles influences the evolution of social structures, cultural norms, technological innovations, political systems, and economic practices.

The research methods are based on an interdisciplinary approach, including historical, systemic, and comparative analysis to identify the main determinants of civilizational development. Elements of socio-economic forecasting are also used to assess the impact of modern technological and global processes on the future trajectory of civilizational progress.

The research results confirmed that globalization is not only a driver of economic integration but also creates new challenges for social stability, cultural identity, and political sovereignty of states. In the 21st century, the development of information technologies significantly accelerates globalization processes, shaping new models of international cooperation. At the same time, sustainable development, which ensures a balance between economic growth and the preservation of natural resources, plays a crucial role in maintaining civilizational resilience. The key risks and challenges for nations in terms of intellectual security arising in the context of globalization are outlined.

The study concludes that effective management of globalization and the implementation of sustainable development are crucial for the future of humanity. It is established that intellectual security and technological development are decisive factors in ensuring stability and prosperity in the 21st century.
