Economic assessment of the design and organization of recreational services of hotel and restaurant establishments in the Volyn region using innovative technologies

Abstract

The article provides an economic evaluation of the design and organization of recreational services within hospitality establishments in Volyn Oblast, with consideration of innovative technologies. The aim of the article is to substantiate the theoreti cal foundations and develop practical recommendations for the economic evaluation of the processes of designing and organizing recreational services in the region's hospitality establishments using innovative technologies, in order to enhance their operational efficiency, competitiveness, and ensure the sustainable development of the regional tourism and recreation complex.

To achieve this aim, theoretical research methods such as analysis, synthesis, induction, and deduction were employed. These methods facilitated the examination and generalization of scientific approaches to the essence, structure, and economic content of recreational services, as well as the analysis of the current state of industry development in the region. Furthermore, empirical methods (statistical analysis, comparative analysis, factor analysis) were applied for the economic evaluation of enterprise activities in the region, factoring in the level of innovativeness. This analysis revealed a higher room occupancy rate, profitability, average check, and greater effectiveness in providing additional services in establishments that utilize modern digital and automated solutions.

It is established that recreational services play a vital role in forming the integrated recreational product of Volyn Oblast and represent a significant source of revenue for hospitality establishments. A SWOT analysis of the industry's economic effectiveness was conducted, which helped identify the strengths and opportunities of Volyn Oblast for innovative development, as well as the weaknesses and threats that require strategic management and infrastructure modernization.

The results confirm that the integration of innovative technologies in the design and provision of recreational services creates the prerequisites for increasing enterprise profitability, enhancing the region's competitiveness, and forming a high-quality recreational product. The practical significance of the study lies in defining directions for improving the economic efficiency of hospitality establishments in Volyn Oblast, which can serve as a basis for developing strategies for the innovative development of the regional recreational services industry.
