The study aims to identify the factors that ensure the effectiveness of brand communication activities in the multicultural environment of the European Union, and to generalise approaches that increase consumer interaction across different national markets. The study examined how cultural characteristics and the level of digital interaction affect the perception of brand communication intentions and the behavioural reactions of the European audience.
The research methods included a critical analysis of scientific sources and a comparison of concepts of international marketing and cultural studies. The interdisciplinary approach enabled tracing the relationship between cultural models and the specifics of digital interaction, which in turn determines consumer reactions to brand activations in EU countries.
The results of the study showed that four groups of factors most influence the effectiveness of brand communication activities in the EU: the cultural relevance of the content of messages, the level of trust in the brand, the perception of its competence and intentions, as well as the ability of digital formats to stimulate emotional and behavioural interaction. It has been established that universal approaches to communication are significantly less effective across different regions of Europe due to differences in information perception styles, levels of individualism, tolerance for uncertainty, and social expectations. The generalisation of modern research confirms that adapting message content, enhancing the interactivity of digital tools, and combining global and local elements create a higher-quality consumer interaction. A special role is played by the brand's ability to demonstrate sincere intentions and socially valuable initiatives, which strengthen trust and promote long-term relationships with the audience.
The study’s conclusions confirm that the effectiveness of modern communication strategies in EU countries is determined not so much by the choice of tools as by the accuracy of cultural tuning and the consistency of messages with local perceptual features. Careful consideration of cultural differences, digital habits, and consumers' ethical expectations allows for the development of more sustainable models of interaction between the brand and the audience, thereby increasing the effectiveness of marketing decisions in a multicultural environment.
