The value of design thinking for modern financial institutions lies in the fact that design methods are most successful in satisfying the desires of consumers, which they cannot understand and formulate on their own. The purpose of the article is to study the features of design thinking in the implementation of financial management. The methodological basis of the study is the works of leading domestic scientists and specialists in the field of investment policy formation. When solving the tasks set in the work, general scientific and special research methods were used: scientific abstraction, systemic generalization, structural and functional construction and complex analysis. In the process of research, it was found that design thinking in financial management is a client-oriented approach that combines thorough financial analysis with empathy for users (clients, employees) to create innovative and convenient financial products and optimize processes. Scientific approaches to studying the theoretical and conceptual aspects of the development of design thinking in the implementation of financial management are investigated. The design thinking methodology has been improved, allowing creative financial institutions to create a sustainable innovation process, thereby reducing their dependence on random ideas and intuitive assumptions. The stages of applying design thinking in financial management are proposed, which combine thorough financial analysis with empathy to create innovative and convenient financial products and optimize processes and costs. It is shown that design thinking in financial management is a methodology that combines thorough financial analysis with empathy for users (clients, employees) to create innovative and convenient financial products and optimize processes. The study found that design thinking in financial management is a customer-oriented approach that combines user empathy with financial goals to create intuitive products (fintech, banking) and optimize processes
