The impact of tariffs on industry and employment depends on many factors, including the nature of the tariffs, the degree of dependence of the economy on imports and exports, and the structure of the national economy. Customs tariffs play an important role in shaping the country's economic policy, affecting employment in various industries. In Ukraine, where industry is one of the key components of the economy, the impact of customs tariffs can be both positive and negative, depending on the specifics of each sector, its dependence on imports or exports, as well as the general economic situation. The relationship between customs tariffs and the level of employment in the industry of Ukraine opens both prospects for the development of the economy and support of employment, as well as significant challenges that require a careful approach and strategic planning. The optimal customs policy should take into account not only economic, but also social aspects, promote the attraction of investments, support the competitiveness of domestic manufacturers and ensure stability in the labor market. An effective customs policy can be a powerful tool for maintaining and growing employment in Ukraine. The government and politicians should use customs tariffs as part of a comprehensive economic strategy that takes into account the needs of different sectors of the economy, promotes the development of new industries and innovations, and also supports stability in the labor market. A balanced approach to customs policy that takes into account both internal and external factors will ensure sustainable economic development and a high level of employment in Ukraine.
