Modern challenges in the research of management problems: risk management defects, competitiveness losses, the conflict management drawbacks and uncertainty of directions of enterprise development

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to create a list of modern challenges for researching current management problems in the areas of risk management, conflicts, competitiveness and development of Ukrainian enterprises. The research methods were: content analysis of scientific literature, monographic method, methods of synthesis, generalization and graphic method. As a result of the study, it was established that the development of enterprises is impossible without the introduction and management of innovations in order to achieve high performance indicators of business entities. It was determined that the realities of wartime became catalysts for the emergence and deepening of conflicts in labour collectives, which is associated with emotional and physical stress, a high level of danger to the life and health of workers. It was found that although risk management practices are actively used in most Ukrainian enterprises, only a mix of quantitative and qualitative risk management methods in combination with scientific research methods allows to form an objective map of risks and a set of methods for their effective management. It is summarized that the strategic management of the competitiveness of the business entity is one of the modern challenges for the top management, which has to manage the business in the extremely difficult conditions of wartime, under the constant influence of uncertainty and risks. Conclusions. At Ukrainian enterprises, innovative management is a problematic aspect and requires further research at the theoretical and applied levels. Quick and professional resolution of conflicts is important for the state of personnel security in the organization, as it allows to avoid numerous risks and threats that will arise and intensify depending on the deepening of the conflict. It is worth orienting risk management mechanisms to the most significant challenges and threats, which can be implemented if the enterprise has a risk rating. In order to effectively manage the development of the enterprise, it is important to initiate the search for new sales markets for products and services, engage in branding and conduct information and advertising campaigns.
