Global trends in the strategic management of enterprise investment activity

Abstract

Purpose of the study: to explore current global trends in the strategic management of enterprise investment activity and identify key factors influencing the transformation of investment strategies in the context of digitalization and sustainable development. Methodological framework: a systemic approach was applied along with methods of comparative analysis, synthesis, and generalization to study international experience in strategic investment management. Statistical data on global investment flows, ESG investment trends, and the impact of digital technologies on investment processes were analyzed. Results: five key trends were identified: digitalization of investment processes, integration of ESG criteria into strategic planning, development of investments in sustainable technologies, increasing role of artificial intelligence in investment decision-making, and the emergence of new models of international investment partnerships. It was found that enterprises adapting their strategies to these trends demonstrate 15–20% higher investment return rates compared to traditional approaches.Conclusions: the transformation of strategic investment management is characterized by a shift from short-term financial objectives to long-term sustainable development strategies. The implementation of digital tools and ESG principles is a critical factor for enterprise competitiveness in today’s environment. Future development prospects include the further integration of machine learning technologies, the advancement of green finance, and the formation of a new paradigm of responsible investing.
