Relevance. The relevance of the study stems from the growing need to enhance the efficiency of production and logistics processes within the complex and resource-intensive supply chains of oil and gas equipment under unstable market conditions.
Aim. The aim of the article is to substantiate the economic efficiency of implementing adaptive control systems for metallurgical processes in the supply chains of oil and gas equipment and to determine their impact on the key performance indicators of industrial enterprises.
Methods. The following methods were applied: analysis of the scientific literature, used to examine current research on the topic; and generalization and systematization, used to present the findings of the study.
Results. The study develops a comprehensive theoretical and analytical framework for assessing the impact of adaptive control systems, taking into account their effect on production costs, resource utilization, and supply-chain efficiency. It is established that the implementation of adaptive control systems delivers a substantial reduction in production costs through the optimization of raw-material consumption, improved energy efficiency, and the minimization of technological losses. It is noted that the application of real-time data processing and predictive analytics enables more precise regulation of metallurgical processes, which results in higher product quality and a lower defect rate. It is shown that the introduction of adaptive systems contributes to the optimization of logistics processes, in particular by reducing inventory levels, shortening order-fulfillment cycles, and enhancing the reliability of supply. It is established that the economic effect of implementation is comprehensive and is formed through the synergy between production and logistics improvements, thereby allowing enterprises to achieve a higher level of competitiveness. It is further established that the application of adaptive management approaches facilitates the transition from reactive to proactive decision-making models, thus increasing resilience to external risks and uncertainty.
Conclusions. The findings of the study confirm that the implementation of adaptive control systems for metallurgical processes is both economically expedient and strategically justified, as it promotes long-term growth in the operational efficiency of enterprises within the supply chains of oil and gas equipment.
