Formation of an investment strategy for the renewal of the material and technical base of the enterprise on the basis of the SDGs

Abstract

The article examines the theoretical foundations of forming an investment strategy for a transport enterprise in the context of post-war recovery and sustainable development principles. The essence of the investment strategy is revealed as a system of long-term goals and mechanisms for managing the enterprise’s investment resources. The specifics of forming an investment strategy for transport enterprises are determined, taking into account the high level of wear and tear of the material and technical base, instability of the financial environment, the need for infrastructure modernization, and the introduction of innovative technologies. The necessity of integrating the Sustainable Development Goals into the process of forming an investment strategy is substantiated, particularly in the areas of transport decarbonization, energy efficiency, development of intelligent transport infrastructure, digitalization, and socio-economic balance. The key strategic guidelines for intensifying the innovative activity of transport enterprises in the context of sustainable development are identified. The influence of external and internal factors on the formation of the investment needs of a transport enterprise is investigated, and the priority areas of investment in the restoration and modernization of the material and technical base are outlined. It is concluded that an effective investment strategy is an important tool for ensuring the competitiveness, resilience, and long-term development of Ukrainian transport enterprises in the conditions of the post-war transformation of the economy.
