The article examines the main measures of state policy aimed at the development of environmental awareness and compliance with environmental standards on the way to the development of European cooperation in the context of the green economy. Government decisions need to be implemented in the political and investment spheres, which requires the identification of priority areas of investment and the development of mechanisms and tools for their implementation. European developed countries develop a purposeful policy of sustainable development, focused on the cooperation of all business entities in order to comply with the principles of greening and socialization.

The following methods are used to study the main directions of the development of European integration policy in the context of the green economy: Study of official documents of the European Union, such as directives, regulations and strategies related to the green economy; analysis of scientific articles, monographs and reports of international organizations devoted to issues of sustainable development and green economy; comparison of policies and strategies of different EU countries regarding the green economy; identification of common and distinctive features in approaches to ecologization of the economy.
