Functioning of the Agricultural Land Market in the Contours of Wartime Risks

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the specific conditions of functioning of the agricultural land market under the influence of challenges caused by martial law.  The objectives of the study are to identify and assess the impact of military risks on the development of the agricultural land market; to develop ways to reduce them. The methodological basis of the study is made up of the following methods: analysis and synthesis (study of factors affecting the market - economic, political and legal; combining these elements into a single model that reflects the relationships between different components of the land market under conditions of risks); empirical (analysis of data reflecting the situation on the land market during martial law); comparative (identification of patterns, specific risk factors, comparison of the functioning of the land market in different periods and in different regions of Ukraine); content analysis (identification of key Results. The article identifies the main tasks of the agricultural land market in modern conditions and outlines the set of risks arising from the martial law conditions that accompany its functioning. It is established that, against the background of significant losses, the market is gradually resuming its activity, although the growth rate has begun to slow down somewhat. The author analyzes the key indicators of the land market, identifies its main segments, in particular, lease, and concludes that there is an imbalance in the development of some of them.  The main directions of reducing the impact of existing risks and overcoming the consequences of the introduction of martial law for the market are highlighted. Conclusions. Based on the results of the study, the author recommends adhering to an integrated approach when implementing measures aimed at minimizing all types of risks caused by military operations and stabilizing the market functioning.
