The synergy of bioeconomy and human capital in the context of sustainable economic development

The purpose of the article is to explore the interconnections between the bioeconomy and human capital development, and to determine their impact on economic stability and social equity. The research methods are based on systems analysis, empirical studies, and an analysis of scientific publications related to the bioeconomy, human capital, and sustainable development. The case study method is used to analyze the synergy between the bioeconomy and human capital, using the European Union countries as an example.
The research results indicate that the bioeconomy, as a new economic direction, is based on the use of renewable biological resources to create products and services that contribute to environmental preservation and the improvement of quality of life. Attention is drawn to the importance of human capital, which includes the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary for the innovative development of the bioeconomy. It is emphasized that education and training are key components that contribute to the formation of a highly skilled workforce capable of implementing innovations and effectively utilizing biological resources.
The article examines how the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) influence the development of the bioeconomy and human capital, ensuring the integration of economic, social, and environmental aspects. It is noted that achieving the SDGs is possible only with the active involvement of human capital in innovation processes and the sustainable management of natural resources.
In conclusion, the importance of the bioeconomy is highlighted, offering new ways to use resources that help preserve the environment and stimulate economic growth. At the same time, the development of human capital provides the necessary knowledge and skills to implement these new approaches. The research shows that investment in human capital is critical for adapting to new technologies and innovations in biotechnology. The experience of the European Union countries demonstrates that cooperation between the bioeconomy and human capital promotes economic growth and social responsibility, underscoring the importance of developing institutions to support innovation and continuous learning.
