The main purpose of this article is to study the peculiarities of enterprise information support and identify the main problems in this area. The research is based on a qualitative combination of system analysis methods. In particular, methods of analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, concretization, generalization, and analogy are used when studying the existing scientific literature. The Harrington scale method was used to assess the level of corporate information support.
During the research, it was found that in modern conditions, the value of information resources continues to grow, and without appropriate information support from managers, effective management of any socio-economic system is impossible.
To achieve the set objectives, the main problems of enterprise information support were identified. Based on the analysis of literary sources, the main types of information support analysis were outlined. Additionally, the main methods for assessing information support were determined. A scheme for metric modeling of non-metric attributes was proposed. Based on various components of information support indicators for the functioning and development of the enterprise, a methodology for calculating summary indicators to assess the level of information support was suggested. It is recommended to use the Harrington scale to interpret the indicators of the obtained information support levels. The essence, significance, and main characteristics of information support at various levels, from very low to very high, were defined.
The results of the study have significant practical importance and allow for a quantitative assessment of the level of enterprise information support and provide recommendations for its improvement.
