The role of modern methods of personnel management in strengthening the personnel security of enterprises

Abstract

In modern conditions, human resource management is becoming a critical aspect, which necessitates constant systematic scientific research in this area. At the present stage of Ukraine's development, the formation and provision of conditions for effective personnel management in strengthening the personnel security of enterprises is of strategic importance, since the formation of the human resources potential of the organization as a whole depends on it.

 The human resource management system includes a set of elements, such as methods, means, and social institutions, which influence the strengthening of the management system. The article reveals the essence of personnel security of enterprises, its role and place in the personnel management system. Different approaches to defining the categories of “personnel security” and “personnel management” are analyzed, and the author's own definition of these concepts is proposed.

The theoretical provisions and recommendations for ensuring personnel security in the personnel management system are presented. The interrelation of ensuring personnel security with the functions of personnel management is shown. In this regard, it is proposed to consider the process of ensuring personnel security through the main areas of personnel management: planning, selection and recruitment, evaluation, development, motivation, control and dismissal of personnel.

Personnel security is a complex concept which covers various functional components. Ensuring the security of any enterprise involves a comprehensive impact on potential and real threats (risks) that may impede its successful operation in an unstable external and internal environment. With a professionally formed staff, an enterprise strives to take a leading position in the market, be competitive and successfully promote its business. The main goals of personnel security include protection against internal and external threats, maintaining stable operations and ensuring the professional development of employees.

The author proposes new management approaches to ensure personnel security. It has been determined that the implementation of measures to ensure personnel security at modern enterprises will allow to consider it as one of the key elements of the economic security system of an enterprise and minimize a number of threats.
