Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyse the functioning of smart energy within the smart ecosystem of the city, interacting with other elements of urban infrastructure to increase efficiency, environmental friendliness and comfort for residents. The article considers the concept of smart energy as an important element of smart cities, focusing on the integration of innovative technologies into the energy supply sector to increase resource efficiency, reduce negative environmental impacts and improve the quality of life of citizens. The key aspects of the smart economy will be analysed, including the use of renewable energy sources, the introduction of smart grids, energy savings and the automation of energy management. International experience in the implementation of such solutions, their advantages and disadvantages are considered through examples. In order to summarise the theoretical aspects of smart energy and its key elements, the following methods of analysis were used in the preparation of this article: the comparative method helped to analyse the international experience of implementing smart energy technologies in different countries; the systematic approach allowed to identify the relationships between smart energy components and other elements of a smart city; the case study method was used to study specific examples of smart energy solutions in cities around the world; the empirical analysis allowed to assess the current state of implementation. The results of the study may be useful in developing strategies for the development of smart cities and the creation of sustainable urban infrastructure. The study found that smart energy is a key component in the formation of smart cities, ensuring resource efficiency, innovation, environmental friendliness, social aspects, sustainable development of urban areas and improving the quality of life of the population.
