The relevance of the study is driven by the need for a comprehensive analysis of the external environment, which allows for assessing its condition and development prospects. This, in turn, enables the alignment of the internal state of an enterprise with market demands, strategic goals, and available opportunities. An important aspect is ensuring the coherence of levels and objects of development strategies in the implementation of targeted strategic management policies.
The aim of the study is to improve the theoretical foundations of strategic management in the development of agricultural enterprises.
The research results indicate the necessity of strategic management aimed at both creating and strengthening the competitive advantages of agricultural enterprises in the short-term and long-term perspectives. This is achieved through the identification and implementation of priority development directions integrated into the national economic strategy, the state strategy for regional development, as well as strategies for the development of agriculture and rural areas.
The distinctions between strategic, tactical, and operational management allow for a clear delineation of their functions while ensuring their interaction and mutual reinforcement based on a systematic approach. In the field of state and regional management of the agro-industrial sector, these aspects acquire particular significance, considering the specific characteristics of the industry and the necessity of aligning national and regional development priorities.
Strategic management of agricultural enterprises is based on a comprehensive analysis of strengths and weaknesses, taking into account the interrelation with external environmental factors. An important aspect is assessing the degree of influence of changes in one factor on others, the complexity of the system of interacting elements, as well as the dynamism and uncertainty of information about the external environment. This allows enterprises to make well-grounded strategic decisions considering development strategies at macro- and mesoeconomic levels.
Prospects for further research lie in exploring scientific approaches to the development of agricultural enterprises as an object of strategic management.
