The advantages of the container transportation system cover additional costs for the creation and maintenance of a fleet of containers, as well as for the transportation of the containers themselves, especially in an empty state, and maintenance of the service personnel of the container industry. In recent years, the modern world economy has been in a state of overcoming global challenges that affect, including, global container logistics. The purpose of this article is to establish changes in modern container logistics and in the corresponding market of transport services. Container transportation is a significant segment in the total volume of transportation of various types of cargo, and their specificity involves the use of a wide range of technological, informational, commercial and organizational opportunities that the modern transport market and transport technologies provide today. The current state of container transportation is analyzed, the impact of the war in Ukraine on the cost of transporting goods in containers by sea and the change in transportation routes is determined, the main trends that determine the direction of further development of the container transportation system and the corresponding market are determined. The dynamics of the cost of sea transportation of containers was analyzed. The distribution of container flows of Ukrainian ports between the ports of Romania and Poland has been established. In particular, it was established that sea carriers, as part of the formation of global transport logistics systems, focus even on cargoes that were traditionally delivered by other routes and other modes of transport. By offering such services, shipping companies focus on transit time, which is an important factor for cargo owners. On the one hand, the routes for the delivery of goods in containers are being destroyed, on the other hand, new ones are appearing, which are designed to cover more and more geographical segments and attract a new category of goods to sea transportation as part of the development of global logistics systems.
