This article is dedicated to the analysis of e-commerce in the context of digital transformation and the implementation of innovative sales technologies. It explores the impact of artificial intelligence, big data, mobile applications, AR/VR, and voice interfaces on business processes and customer interaction. E-commerce serves as a crucial driver of digital economy development and facilitates broader access to global markets.
The research methodology is based on a systems approach that incorporates elements of inductive and deductive analysis, business model comparison, and the study of statistical data from open sources. The paper focuses on analyzing the primary business models used in e-commerce (brokerage, advertising, subscription, merchant, affiliate, etc.) and provides practical examples of their application by global leaders such as Amazon, Netflix, IKEA, and Zara. Special attention is given to the Ukrainian experience of business adaptation during wartime, highlighting the resilience of digital strategies in crisis conditions.
The paper also examines the specifics of implementing e-commerce across various economic sectors. In the service industry, the importance of online booking, digital consulting, and telemedicine is growing. In the forestry sector, electronic platforms facilitate access to tenders, digital wood certification, and resource harvesting control. In the automotive industry, the use of e-sales for vehicles and spare parts, along with online maintenance services, is expanding. In the food industry, supply chain tracking systems and automated ordering solutions are actively applied. Digital platforms in education, finance, and tourism ensure personalized services, data analytics access, and a high level of customer support.
The study concludes that digital innovations improve customer service quality, enhance logistics flexibility, and increase sales efficiency. However, these advancements also bring challenges such as rising competition, cybersecurity threats, high modernization costs, and the need for continuous digital skill development. The article emphasizes the importance of legal regulation and personal data protection in the digital space.
In conclusion, the successful development of e-commerce is driven by customer-centric approaches, adaptation of business models to industry specifics, and the integration of digital tools. Further research should focus on the sectoral aspects of digitalization, regulatory changes, and the transformation of consumer behavior in the post-pandemic digital environment.
