Abstract

The absence of a comprehensive model of strategic management leads to fragmented decision-making, inefficient use of available resources, and increased vulnerability of export operations to external and internal risks. Under such conditions, the development of a scientifically grounded and practically applicable conceptual model becomes not only an economic task but also a strategic imperative of national importance. The aim of the study is to substantiate the theoretical foundations and practical mechanisms for forming a model of strategic management of the export and logistics potential of the grain and product sector, taking into account the specific features of the agro-industrial complex, best international practices, and current challenges of the global and regional environment. Methods: analysis of scientific literature – to review current research on the topic; statistical method – to reflect the current export and logistics condition of Ukraine’s grain sector; generalization and systematization – for the structured presentation of research results. The research results revealed the necessity of forming an adaptive, integrative, and result-oriented management system that ensures long-term resilience and competitiveness of the agri-sector's export and logistics complex. It was established that the key conditions for effective strategic management are the integration of sectoral specificity with institutional coordination, digitalization of logistics processes, and diversification of the export structure. It was demonstrated that applying a unified conceptual model contributes to reducing transaction costs, improving the predictability of logistics flows, and expanding access to international markets. Additionally, the implementation of flexible mechanisms for monitoring and adjusting management decisions according to the dynamics of the external environment is recommended. The conclusions emphasize that the successful implementation of the proposed strategic management model for the export and logistics potential of the grain and product complex will enhance the efficiency of export flows, optimize infrastructure usage, reduce transaction costs, strengthen Ukraine’s position in international agri-food markets, and improve institutional capacity for managing complex cross-sectoral processes.
