Abstract

The article examines the Ukrainian educational technology (EdTech) industry, including the current state of the market, key segments, growth dynamics, technological innovations, systemic challenges, and opportunities for development. The authors of the study emphasize the sector’s resilience, driven by a strong IT industry, high levels of human capital, and the acceleration of digitalization due to the COVID-19 pandemic and full-scale war. The paper identifies key technologies being implemented, including learning management systems (LMS), artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual reality (VR), and identifies innovative potential focused on developing practical solutions to support research projects and educational continuity. The authors also identify the main obstacles to the development of EdTech – limited international brand recognition, difficulties in accessing funding, and weak mechanisms for public-private partnerships. The article highlights the important role of government initiatives, industry associations, and the startup ecosystem in supporting and developing EdTech. It offers a number of recommendations aimed at further strengthening Ukrainian EdTech and its integration into the global market.
