Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of forced migration as a multidimensional socio-economic phenomenon that significantly affects the labor market and society in the face of global challenges. The aim of the article is to substantiate theoretical models of the impact of forced migration on the functioning of the labor market and the formation of an interdisciplinary approach to their analysis. In the process of preparing the article, a set of complementary methods have been used, which provided a multilateral analysis of the issues of forced migration, namely - a comparative analysis to compare the experience of migrant integration in different countries, as well as theoretical modeling to determine the relationships between the characteristics of migration flows and labor market parameters. The paper emphasizes that forced migration occurs not from economic incentives, but under the pressure of threats to life, security and basic human rights, which determines its specific nature and consequences. Modern scientific approaches to understanding the impact of migration flows on labor market segmentation, shadow employment, productivity level, social tension and integration opportunities has been analyzed. Has been shown that the key factors of migrant integration are legal status, educational and qualification level, scale and duration of movements, as well as state policy in the field of migration. Particular attention has been paid to the experience of Ukrainian forced migrants after 2022, which poses unprecedented challenges to European labor markets, while creating the potential for their renewal and growth. It is established that modern research mainly focuses on short-term aspects of employment, while long-term consequences for human capital, labor productivity and social integration remain insufficiently studied. The author emphasizes the need to develop integrated interdisciplinary models that would combine economic, legal and socio-cultural approaches to analysis. Directions for further research have been proposed, focused on the formation of effective state and international policy in the field of regulating forced migration and using its potential for socio-economic development.
