Cluster Analysis of the Information Technology Market of Ukraine Development under Economic Transformations

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to provide a theoretical substantiation and to develop practical recommendations for conducting a cluster analysis of the functioning of Ukraine’s information technology market within the system of economic transformations, with an emphasis on the practical aspects of its development. Methods. The study is based on general scientific and special methods, including analysis and synthesis, logical and theoretical generalization, induction and deduction, comparative analysis, structural and functional analysis, as well as cluster analysis as the key tool of empirical research. The combination of these methods ensured the implementation of a systemic approach to assessing the development of the information technology market in the context of economic transformations and the validity of the obtained results. Results. The results of the study indicate that economic transformations lead to heterogeneity in the development of Ukraine’s information technology market, which is manifested in the formation of distinct clusters according to the level of digitalization, innovation activity, and economic development. It is determined that the key differentiation factors include institutional conditions, the development of digital infrastructure, investment activity, and the innovation potential of the economy. The application of cluster analysis facilitates the identification of groups of objects with similar characteristics of IT market development and the delineation of their specific features, thereby confirming the appropriateness of using quantitative methods of multivariate analysis to examine structural shifts and the dynamics of the information technology market.Conclusions. The results of the study substantiate the feasibility of using cluster analysis as an effective tool for assessing the development of the information technology market under conditions of economic transformations.
