Abstract

The article examines the comprehensive impact of implementing innovative design technologies and modern equipment on the economic efficiency indicators of enterprises in the hotel and restaurant sector. The relevance of the study is driven by the necessity to find new business survival tools amidst rising resource costs, energy instability, and intensifying global competition. The paper reveals the essence and provides a classification of innovative solutions covering digital design methods and a high-tech material and technical base.

It is proven that the role of innovative design is critical at all stages of the enterprise lifecycle, as it allows for the minimization of capital expenditures by eliminating engineering conflicts in a digital environment and optimizing spatial ergonomics. It has been established that the use of intelligent equipment directly correlates with a reduction in operating costs by 25–40%, achieved through significant energy savings, a decrease in technological raw material losses, and increased staff productivity.

The article also analyzes the current state and trends of innovation implementation in domestic and foreign HoReCa enterprises, identifying adaptation vectors for Ukrainian businesses to crisis conditions through digitalization and energy autonomy.

Particular attention is paid to substantiating the approach for evaluating the economic efficiency of technological upgrades. Unlike traditional methods, the proposed approach is based on the synergy of financial indicators, energy metrics, and qualitative service indicators. Such an integrated analysis allows for the calculation of the total cost of ownership (TCO) and accelerates the return on investment (ROI) by 1.5–2 times compared to the use of outdated technical solutions.

It is concluded that the strategic combination of intelligent design and high-tech equipment creates a foundation for the sustainable development of the industry, where technological advantage becomes the primary factor in generating added value and long-term competitiveness.
