This article analyzes the current state of profit taxation in large geodetic and land management enterprises. It is currently characterized by a direct dependence between the amount of tax paid and the total income of the taxpayer; stimulation of investment activity of taxpayers through the payment of profit tax, processes of capital accumulation, acceleration and increase in consumption volumes, business activity, and entrepreneurial activity; ensuring a relatively fair tax burden; promoting efficient entrepreneurship and increasing the income of business entities; and stimulating the processes of forming and developing tax awareness among both taxpayers and their employees.
The main disadvantages of the procedure for calculating and paying profit tax for large geodetic and land management enterprises are: the discrepancy between tax and accounting records in determining the profit size for taxation purposes; the possibility of carrying forward the negative value of the tax base to future tax periods; and the insufficient level of stimulation of innovation-investment expenses of the taxpayer through the current mechanism of profit tax calculation and payment.
The directions for improving the current mechanism of profit taxation for large enterprises engaged in geodesy, land management activities, and providing services in geoinformatics and geospatial analysis should include: 1. Maximizing the reduction of the list of profit tax benefits for all types of businesses. 2. Replacing the current profit tax rates for entities engaged in geodesy and land management activities with a regressive scale of rates. 3. Maximizing the list of taxpayers under general tax conditions. 4. Maximizing the alignment of accounting and tax records for profit taxation purposes. 5. Stimulating innovation-investment operations by introducing investment and innovation benefits in the field of profit taxation for entities engaged in geodesy and land management activities.
