The aim of the study. The study aims to theoretically substantiate and formulate scientific, methodological, and practical approaches for managing the sustainable development of agricultural enterprises, by integrating principles of social responsibility and risk-minimization strategies in export supply chains, with the goal of improving the efficiency, resilience, and competitiveness of the agribusiness sector amid a volatile external environment.
Research methods. The study employs a combination of theoretical, analytical, and applied methods, allowing for a thorough evaluation of the connections between sustainable development, social responsibility, and logistical risks within agricultural enterprises. Key methods include systemic and integrative approaches, alongside practical adaptation mechanisms such as logistics diversification, digitalisation of processes, and partnership development. Applying these methods facilitates the formalisation of management practices, reduces risks, enhances enterprise efficiency and competitiveness, and ensures long-term socio-economic stability in a dynamic and uncertain external environment.
Results. The contemporary operating conditions of agricultural enterprises necessitate a move away from traditional management methods toward integrated models that merge sustainable development principles, social responsibility, and risk management in export supply chains. The study’s proposed conceptual framework represents a multi-level system of interconnected elements that supports enterprise adaptability and long-term sustainability, while the scientific and methodological foundation explains the rationale for constructing an integrated management system. This includes identifying, assessing, and prioritising logistics risks, developing sustainable development indicators, and applying decision-making, monitoring, and control tools. Implementing these approaches through adaptive organisational and managerial mechanisms enhances economic efficiency, mitigates risks, strengthens competitive positions, and fosters long-term socio-economic stability in a dynamic and uncertain external environment.
Scientific novelty. For the first time, a multi-level conceptual model has been introduced, encompassing the external environment, internal enterprise processes, and adaptive organisational and managerial mechanisms, alongside a scientific and methodological foundation with tools and indicators for evaluating and mitigating logistical risks, integrating social responsibility, and establishing a strategic and operational management system that enhances efficiency, competitiveness, and long-term sustainability of agricultural enterprises in a volatile external environment.
Conclusions and practical significance. It has been determined that contemporary conditions for agricultural enterprises require a transition to integrated management models that unify sustainable development, social responsibility, and risk management in export supply chains. The study’s proposed conceptual framework establishes a multi-level system of interconnected elements, supported by a scientific and methodological foundation for risk assessment, sustainable development indicators, and management decision-making. Applying these approaches through adaptive mechanisms promotes greater efficiency, strengthens competitiveness, and ensures the long-term sustainability of agribusiness in a volatile external environment.
