Abstract

In modern conditions of economic activity, enterprises could ensure a high level of economic security based on the use of high-quality components that directly create an uninterrupted process of its functioning. Regardless of the field of activity, the product being manufactured and the regional representation, companies need energy to carry out any operations. Accordingly, the key aspect for ensuring the economic security of enterprises should be the initial element of forming a reliable supply of this product for all market entities.

The purpose of the work is to present theoretical and methodological principles for modeling the economic security of energy enterprises in the context of the transformation of regional enterprises. Significant aspects are highlighted for determining the relationship between the components of the energy system (generating companies, network representatives and distribution entities) and the socio-economic environment of certain regions.

The methodological basis is made up of general scientific and special methods of cognition, namely the system approach, structural and functional analysis, comparative and factor analysis and methods of economic modeling.

It is proven that the economic security of energy enterprises, as the initial link in ensuring reliable energy supply for other market representatives, is formed under the influence of a complex of factors. The main ones include production, financial, investment and institutional components. The paper presents a conceptual organizational and functional model that includes flows of energy resources at different levels of creation, financial and investment components that form an idea and help to identify possible threats to the enterprise's activities. Accordingly, it is considered possible to assess the level of resilience of energy enterprises to possible internal and external risks, which generally increases their level of resilience. A number of components are an important aspect in ensuring the economic security of energy enterprises, namely: payment discipline of consumers (both other economic entities and individuals), formalization of the financing structure and effective implementation of investment projects for the modernization of major production facilities. Quantitative indicators for assessing the specified components are proposed, which are based on a system of local elements without normalization into a generalized (integral) result, which increases the level of accuracy of analytical results.

As a result, the application of adaptive modeling of economic security of enterprises is argued, which increases the financial stability and efficiency of energy enterprises. And the results obtained serve as a basis for making informed decisions in the transformation processes of regional markets.
