Abstract

Transformation processes in the digital economy necessitate reconsidering approaches to financing innovative entrepreneurship, underscoring the need to explore new mechanisms for capital attraction. The growing role of high-tech sectors, the expansion of digital platforms, and the dominance of intangible assets are driving increased demands for flexibility, speed, and accessibility of financial resources.

The aim of the study is to generalize contemporary approaches to startup financing in the digital economy, systematize innovative financial instruments, and identify their features, advantages, and limitations in the context of capital market transformation. The methodological framework of the study is based on general scientific and specialized methods, including analysis and synthesis for summarizing scientific approaches and classifying financing instruments; comparative analysis to assess differences between innovative methods according to key characteristics; a systems approach to examine the interconnection between financial, digital, and institutional factors; and graphical methods to visualize the dynamics of venture investments and the structure of the crowdfunding market.

As a result of the study, the key innovative financing methods have been characterized, including instruments with deferred conversion, platform-based models, alternative debt solutions, hybrid financing forms and mechanisms for the use of digital and intangible assets. It is shown that the modern system of startup financing is characterized by a shift toward a multi-channel model that combines various sources of capital depending on the stage of business development, risk level, and availability of financial infrastructure. The findings emphasize that the key drivers of innovative financing development include the digitalization of financial processes, the platformization of interactions among market participants, and regulatory transformations aimed at reducing barriers and stimulating investment activity.
