Abstract

Deep transformations of international economic policy are taking place under the influence of digitalization, geopolitical instability and the growing role of sustainable development. These processes significantly change the conditions for the implementation of international projects. In such conditions, there is an objective need to adapt approaches to project management taking into account global economic trends.

Purpose. The purpose of the article is a comprehensive review of global trends in international economic policy and determination of their impact on changing project management methods with further substantiation of practical directions for increasing the efficiency of project management in a global environment.

Methods. The study used a combination of general scientific and special methods. In particular, the methods of theoretical generalization and systematization were applied; analysis and synthesis - to identify the relationships between economic processes and project management; comparative analysis - to compare approaches to project management in different countries and conditions. In addition, the case analysis method was used to study the practical experience of implementing international projects, as well as the systemic approach and generalization method - to form conclusions and develop recommendations.

Results. The current global trends in international economic policy are analyzed, in particular the processes of geo-economic differentiation, protectionism, digitalization of trade and restructuring of global markets. The main factors of transformation of the global economic system are identified, including changes in global supply chains, financial structure and regulatory framework. The essence and scope of the impact of global financial shifts on approaches to project management are assessed. The transformation of project management methodologies in the changing global environment is analyzed. The main dangers and challenges that arise when implementing international projects within the framework of geopolitical and economic changes are identified. The role of digital technologies in increasing the efficiency of project management is investigated. Recommendations for improving project management in the context of global economic transformations are developed.

Conclusions. The conclusions indicate that current global trends in international economic policy are significantly transforming approaches to project management. It is established that in conditions of growing uncertainty and geopolitical challenges, the effectiveness of project management depends on the flexibility of management methodologies, the level of digitalization and the ability to adapt.
