Abstract

The article explores strategic approaches to enhancing the competitiveness of Ukrainian grain on global markets, taking into account recent challenges related to the transformation of global agricultural logistics, shifts in the geoeconomic landscape, and the impact of wartime risks. It is substantiated that ensuring Ukraine’s stable position as one of the leading grain exporters requires a transition from a reactive export management model to a conceptually integrated strategy of long-term market positioning. A comprehensive analysis of the theoretical and methodological foundations of the concept of “competitiveness” in the context of agricultural exports is conducted, and key factors shaping competitiveness are identified: product quality, logistical efficiency, state support, marketing, international trust, and risk exposure.

An original multiplicative model of strategic promotion of Ukrainian grain is proposed, integrating institutional, infrastructural, and communicative components of export policy into a unified analytical framework. The model enables quantitative assessment of strategic effectiveness under conditions of multifactor uncertainty and serves as a foundation for further empirical research in the field of agricultural economics. The article also systematizes the main barriers to realizing competitive potential, including institutional fragmentation, weak logistical coordination, instability of distribution channels, and inconsistency in state support.

Based on the conducted analysis, strategic development directions are formulated: market diversification, logistics digitalization, strengthening of certification infrastructure, involvement of international partners, and institutional modeling of export processes. The article has applied value for developing agrarian policy, state export support mechanisms, and designing innovative logistics systems for agricultural products.
