Abstract

The article examines the impact of the type of corporate culture on the development of intellectual capital of enterprises in the process of digital transformation of business. The authors seek to determine how different cultural characteristics of organizations facilitate or hinder the modernization and implementation of digital technologies, as well as which strategies are most effective in increasing the competitiveness of companies in the current environment. The research methods include analysis of scientific literature, collection of empirical data, and a comparative approach to determine the role of cultural factors in digital transformation processes. In particular, the analysis of the impact of different types of corporate culture (adhocratic, clan, market, hierarchical) on key elements of intellectual capital, such as human, structural and organizational components, is analyzed. As a research basis, the authors evaluated digital transformation methods according to the “epam” framework and concluded about the strength of influence of each type of corporate culture on the 7 aspects of the framework. The results of the article confirm previous studies that organizations with an adhocratic culture, which is based on openness to change, innovation, and rapid response to market challenges have the greatest positive impact on the development of intellectual capital. At the same time, the research demonstrates that a combination of different cultural styles allows for better results and flexibility in technological and organizational changes. The authors emphasize that effective digital transformation is impossible without taking into account the cultural characteristics of the enterprise and the development of corporate culture is the most difficult and important aspect of change. The article provides recommendations for the formation of appropriate cultural values and approaches to stimulate innovation and increase the level of intellectual capital in the digital age.
